Tip of the Week: 5 Keep all your old projects

One thing that always inspires me to make a song it going through my old projects that never made it, ones that sounded rubbish at the time or ones where i wasn’t able to do what was in my head. This is why it is a good idea to keep your old projects. It may in fact help with other songs you are working on currently, perhaps there’s a riff you can steal or a synth preset that you never saved.

The trick with this though is if you don’t get instant inspiration, it may be better to just move to the next abandoned idea. Let’s face it, some ideas we make really do just suck.
